Because of the geographical reference to Africa being across the sea, Walking on Water is undoubtedly a poem from the time of Ajeno’s visit to Angela in 2002.

As explained towards the end of our Biography section, it’s one of the paradoxes of Ajeno’s oeuvre that the majority of his poetry survives only in English translation, or as poems which he himself wrote in English.  It’s our sincere hope that more Spanish originals might yet be rediscovered, and if so we shall add them provided that we’re sure of their authenticity.
